DEEPER

DEEPER is our midweek Bible study and one of our primary ways of deepening our discipleship to the Lord. During our time this year this year, we will explore what it means to and live us Biblical peacemakers, ambassadors of reconciliation, and co-laborers with Christ in the world in which we live today. 

As the hands and feet of Christ, we want to be an authentic signpost of God’s love, mercy, and justice in a world that desperately needs it! In our own strength, we will fail to navigate the complexities of doing life together, but empowered by the Holy Spirit we will flourish, experience shalom, and the beloved community- the Kingdom Mosaic. 

Each session will include a large group teaching and a time in small groups for further discussion. To help foster trust and transparency, we plan to keep the small groups the same throughout this entire session; therefore, we are asking that participants commit to attending as much as possible.

This year, we are also going to take more time to pause and reflect in racial affinity groups. Every 3- 4 lessons, we will gather into two groups: those that identify as people of color and those that identify as white. This will create space to process the material in more specific ways since we often have different experiences in our segregated society. 

Childcare will be available for children 6mo- 5th grade for a family fee of $40. This will help us provide a small stipend to a worker that will coordinate the childcare for DEEPER.
